Walking down into the wash, and turning right into it. Walking up the wash the area is of sedementary rock all turned up on edge. Notice the stirations, the flat lines are going up and down. This rock was formed at the bottom of a lake or ocean, when dirt and silt settled to the bottom forming layers. These layers or stirations were later forced upward and resulted in these spectacular canyons.
